Introduction

Welcome to the Website of Indian Mycological Society (IMS). The Submission of Article, Short Communications and Book Review published in Journal is open to contributions dealing with all aspects of basic and experimental mycology, plant pathology, virology, bacteriology and other allied disciplines.

Please read these Terms carefully, because by visiting or using Our Site, you agree to be legally bound by and comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to use Our Site. Certain portions of Our Site are accessible only to registered users who affirmatively agree to these Terms by clicking “I AGREE” on the registration page.

Please check these Terms regularly, because we may modify them from time to time. We will notify you of a material change to these Terms in a manner commensurate with the nature of the change. Your continued use of Our Site after we have posted amended Terms constitutes your consent to the amended Terms. IMS Content

All content on Our Site is owned by IMS or a third party and is protected by copyright laws. Authors submitting a manuscript for publication in the Journal of Mycopathological Research are permitted to do so on the condition that, if it is accepted for publication, the copyright in the article shall been assigned exclusively to the Publisher including the right to reproduce the article in all forms and media.

The Publisher will not impose any restrictions on the author for using the published article for his own personal use.

Accounts

Certain portions of Our Site allow you to create an account (“Account”). For submission of Articles in our Journal you have to create an account and Post your Article as per the Instruction to Authors mentioned in our website.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the log-in information and password associated with your Account and for all activity under your Account. You may not transfer or permit the use of your Account by others. You must notify IMS immediately if you become aware that anyone has gained unauthorized access to your Account. You represent, warrant and covenant that (i) all information you provide in connection with your Account is accurate and complete; (ii) you will update your Account as necessary to keep it accurate and complete; (iii) you will not use or attempt to use your Account to pass yourself off as any other party; (iv) you are using Our Site on your own behalf and not on behalf of any other party; and (v) you have and will maintain all permissions and approvals needed from other parties for you to use Our Site and to comply with these Terms.

IMS reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate your Account or to restrict access to Our Site at any time if it suspects that you have not complied with these Terms, or for other reasons that IMS determines in good faith are necessary or appropriate, including if IMS suspects you are using or attempting to use Our Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations. IMS is not liable to you for any loss or damage that may result from its refusal to provide you access to Our Site or any portion of it.

Posting User Content

Our Site contains features that allow users (“Users”) to submit and share manuscripts, commentary, messages, information, documents, images, questions, links, and other material (all together, “User Content”).

Each manuscript will be reviewed by two independent referees. Each referee will send his own specific recommendations to the Editor-In-Chief of the Journal. If there is disagreement in the recommendations of the referees, the Editor-In-Chief may send the paper to a third referee.

Finally, the Editor is responsible for judging the suitability of the manuscript for publishing in the Journal.

User Content should relate to IMS’s purposes, which are described as follows:

  • Study of fungi of all kinds including mushrooms, yeasts, lichens and medically important fungi, as well as allied subjects like Microbiology, Soil Bacteriology, Plant Pathology, Fungal Physiology and so on.
  • Encouraging original research; each manuscript submitted to the Journal of Mycopathological Research must be an original research report that has not been submitted elsewhere.
  • Promoting information exchanges among members of the society;
  • Expand our efforts in being of service to the community of scientists by way of introducing useful online services to its members as well as for the benefit of the general public.
Conduct on Our Site

When you use Our Site, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

You will not impersonate or try to pass yourself off as any other person or entity.

You will not upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any information, files, code or other materials that are unlawful, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or libelous, or that are threatening, abusive, or harassing on the basis of an individual's (or group's) religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

You will not upload or post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any information, files, code or other materials that contain viruses or are able to disrupt or damage Our Site or IMS software, hardware or other equipment.

You take sole responsibility for your User Content.

Your User Content is non-confidential and any ideas, inventions, or know-how disclosed in them will be available to other Users.

You submit User Content entirely at your own risk. Because IMS cannot guarantee the security or confidentiality of any User Content, you should consider all User Content you submit to be non-confidential and assume that any ideas, inventions, or know-how disclosed in it could be made available to the public. IMS is not responsible for any third party’s misuse or misappropriation of any User Content you submit through Our Site.
